To realize its mission, ISVC requires budgets to support research, develop communication and prepare knowledge exchange.

Donators may (but are not required to) specify which ISVC activities shall be supported. However, donators have no influence on the content, approaches, results and communication of those activities. ISVC follows an academic peer review process to evaluate its activities and uses this process to allocate funds.
